Rally together with millions of Trainers worldwide for the grand conclusion of this year’s GO Fest events with Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale! This unticketed event can be joined from anywhere in the world with the free GO Pass: Max Finale!
Trainers level 13 and above can brave a weeklong gauntlet of raids, Max Battles, and more for the chance to battle and catch every Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon that has appeared in Pokémon GO so far, plus the newly arrived Legendary Pokémon Eternatus.
Eternatus descends from the sky worldwide.
The emergence of Eternatus heralds the biggest challenge in Max Battles yet. Encounter Eternatus through the new GO Pass: Max Finale, and battle Eternamax Eternatus in Max Battles during Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale!
Defeating this powerful Pokémon in Max Battles grants large quantities of Eternatus Candy and Eternatus Candy XL, which you can use to power up your own Eternatus. Eternatus is an extraordinarily powerful Pokémon that requires much more Candy than other Pokémon to power up.
The return of the crowns.
Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta will make their return to raids!
GO Pass: Max Finale will enhance their power, so Trainers can more quickly slash and bash their way through Max Battles, progress even faster through the GO Pass, and power up their Eternatus with the Candy won from Max Battles against Eternatus.

Eternatus
The Gigantic Pokémon Eternatus emerges for its Pokémon GO global debut!
Encounter the Poison- and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon as you progress through a Max Battle adventure with GO Pass: Max Finale, which starts during the Dark Skies event.
Eternatus can only be caught once during this event, and it requires much more Candy and Candy XL to power up due to its massive power. GO Pass: Max Finale and GO Pass Deluxe: Max Finale will provide significant amounts of Eternatus Candy and Candy XL.
Prepare for the biggest battles of Pokémon GO as Eternamax Eternatus darkens the sky worldwide in Max Battles. But fear not—Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta make their return to help you defeat it!
Rally for the conclusion to Pokémon GO Fest 2025 during Max Finale’s most challenging Max Battles yet.
Defeating this powerful Pokémon in Max Battles will award large amounts of Eternatus Candy and Eternatus Candy XL so Trainers can power up their Eternatus.

What is a GO Pass?
A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period.
With a GO Pass, you can complete tasks like winning Max Battles to earn GO Points. Collect GO Points to increase your rank and earn exciting rewards!
GO Pass: Max Finale
From Monday, August 18, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 24, at 9:00 p.m. local time, GO Pass: Max Finale and GO Pass Deluxe: Max Finale will be available in Pokémon GO!
Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: Max Finale on Monday, August 18, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points for GO Pass: Max Finale and rank up to get additional rewards through Sunday, August 24, at 9:00 p.m. local time.
From Monday, August 18, to Friday, August 22, you can collect GO Points up to a daily cap during the Dark Skies event to get a head start on GO Pass: Max Finale. There’s no daily limit for how many GO Points you can earn from Saturday, August 23, at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 24, at 9:00 p.m. local time!
For Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression, check out GO Pass Deluxe: Max Finale, a paid version of GO Pass: Max Finale. While progressing through the deluxe version of the GO Pass, you can claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and the GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to a GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.
Rewards unlocked in GO Pass: Max Finale will expire on Tuesday, August 26, at 9:00 p.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!

Max Battles
Eternamax Eternatus
Eternatmax Eternatus will take over the majority of Power Spots during Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale.
While Trainers will not be able to catch Eternamax Eternatus after defeating it in Max Battles, they will earn a large amount of Eternatus Candy and Eternatus Candy XL, which can be used to power up the Eternatus they can catch via GO Pass: Max Finale.
Max Battles
In addition to Eternamax Eternatus, all Gigantamax Pokémon that have appeared in Pokémon GO may appear at Power Spots.
The following Pokémon will appear in Max Battles on the following schedule more frequently than other Gigantamax Pokémon.
Dynamax Battles
All Dynamax Pokémon that have appeared in Pokémon GO may also appear at a Power Spot, but it will be less likely.
Raids
The following Pokémon will appear in raids.
Wild Encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.
Event Bonuses

In celebration of Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale, Trainers can use the code GOFESTMAX on the Pokémon GO Web Store to redeem branching Timed Research focused on Max Battles and Buddy Pokémon. The code will expire on August 3, 2025, at 00:00 UTC.
Complete the research tasks to earn rewards and encounter a Gigantamax Pokémon of your choice—either Rillaboom, Cinderace, or Inteleon—with a Seasonal Special Background!
Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Sunday, August 24, 2025.
