Timed Research Codes via the Pokémon GO Twitch Live Stream
In addition to the upcoming Pokémon GO worldwide event and the live festivities taking place in Anaheim, California, we’re excited to share that Trainers will have the opportunity to get up to two codes for exclusive Timed Research by watching 30 minutes of the Pokémon GO Twitch live stream on Days 1 and 2 of the Pokémon GO World Championships!
Additionally, a third code for Timed Research will be available to Trainers who watch 30 minutes of the official Pokémon GO co-streams that are showing the Pokémon GO World Championships.
Day 1: 2024 Pokémon World Champion
Trainers who redeem Day 1’s live stream code will get exclusive Timed Research that honors both Yekai0904, the 2024 Pokémon GO World Champion, and a key Pokémon that helped him become Champion!**
Trainers will have a chance to obtain the following rewards from this Timed Research.

Day 2: Team Building: Great League
Trainers who redeem Day 2’s live stream code will get exclusive Timed Research focused on battling basics.**

Pokémon GO World Championships Co-Streamers: Greetings from Anaheim!
Tune in to any of our official Pokémon GO co-streamers to receive the third exclusive Timed Research for this year’s 2025 Pokémon World Championships, taking place in Anaheim, California.**
Trainers who watch any of the official Pokémon GO co-streams between Friday, August 15, at 9:00 a.m. PDT and Monday, August 18, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. PDT will receive a code that they can redeem for exclusive Timed Research.

Trainers that redeem this code will also have access to the following bonus until August 31 at 11:59 p.m. local time.

How to Obtain and Redeem a Code
1. Follow the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel.
Make sure you’re following the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel so you’ll get a notification when the broadcast begins.

2. Connect your Pokémon Trainer Club account to Twitch.
Follow steps 1–3 on this FAQ page to link your Twitch account.
3. Watch the live stream.
Be sure to catch the Pokémon GO World Championships live stream on Day 1, Day 2, or Day 3 for 30 minutes. (Please note that minimizing the stream will pause the Twitch Drop progress timer on Twitch.)
The Pokémon GO Twitch live stream dates are as follows.
- Friday, August 15, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT and running until the end of the day’s rebroadcast.
- Saturday, August 16, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT and running until the end of the day’s rebroadcast.
- Sunday, August 17, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT and running until the end of the day’s rebroadcast.
Rebroadcasts will occur throughout the weekend outside of the above-listed live show times. If you miss the live broadcast, you can still follow these steps during a rebroadcast to get a code.
4. Claim your Twitch Drop.
Once you’ve watched a stream for 30 minutes, a pop-up in Twitch chat will prompt you to claim your Twitch Drop. You may also claim your drop by visiting the Twitch Drops Inventory Page here.
5. Find your code.
After you select Claim, go to rewards.pokemon.com and select View Inventory. Find the drop and select Show Code.*
There’s more to celebrate!
That’s not all we have planned to celebrate the Pokémon GO World Championships!
The 2025 Worlds Tee (White) will be available globally via a code shared during the Pokémon GO World Championships live stream. You can also get the code when it’s distributed via official Pokémon GO social media channels shortly after the live stream. The code will be valid until August 30, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. UTC.
A celebration in Anaheim!
Keep an eye out for a special local Pokémon GO 2025 World Championships treat in the 2025 Pokémon World Championships venue in Anaheim, California. Trainers who attend in person will be able to participate in local Timed Research called the 2025 Pokémon World Championships Scavenger Hunt. This Timed Research focuses on the various Pokémon activities around the venue.
Completing this Timed Research will award Trainers with an exclusive World Championships–themed T-Shirt for their avatar.
