NIANTIC, INC. SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
POKÉMON GO SUMMER QUEST PROMOTION

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROMOTION. PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING THE CORRESPONDING TIME ZONE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE JURISDICTIONS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES PARTICIPANT'S FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the Pokémon GO Summer Quest promotion (“Promotion”). While this Promotion requires participation via Instagram for certain prize tiers, it is entirely independent of Meta Platforms, Inc. This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. By participating, entrants completely release Meta Platforms, Inc. from any and all liability in connection with this Promotion.
1. BINDING AGREEMENT
In order to participate in the Promotion, you must agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully prior to entry to ensure you understand and agree. Participants are not eligible to receive any prize or reward unless they comply fully with these Terms.
2. SPONSOR, PROMOTER, PROMOTION ENTITIES & ADMINISTRATOR
The Sponsor / Promoter: Niantic, Inc., Pier 1, Bay 3 , San Francisco, CA 94111, USA. (References to "Sponsor" or "Promoter" herein shall refer to Niantic, Inc.).
The Administrator: We Are Collider Ltd (Unit 4, 156 Bermondsey St, London, SE1 3TQ, United Kingdom).
Legal Status: Under no circumstances shall an entry, the awarding of a prize, or anything in these Terms be construed as an offer or contract of employment with the Sponsor, the Promoter, Administrator, or any Co-Sponsor.
3. ELIGIBILITY
Geographic Scope: Open strictly to legal residents of the United Kingdom and Germany.
Age Limits: Participants must be aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
Exclusions: Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) or those living in the same household of Niantic, Inc, We Are Collider Ltd, or their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, or advertising and promotion agencies are strictly ineligible to participate.
Entry Limit: Limit one (1) entry per person for both Local research and Nationwide research across the entirety of the Promotion, regardless of the number of platforms or entry mechanics utilized.
Critical Privacy Setting: Participant Instagram accounts must be set to 'Public' at the time of entry and must remain public until at least October 15th, 2026, to allow the Administrator to view, log, and verify the entry hashtag. Submissions from private accounts cannot be detected by our tracking software and will be deemed invalid.
4. PROMOTION PERIOD
The Promotion operates under distinct operational timelines depending on the specific event and prize tier. All corresponding in-game requirements and social media uploads must be fully completed and timestamped before the respective closing deadlines outlined below.
A) Localized Event Windows (Prizes 1 & 2)
The entry and activation mechanics for Prize 1 (First-Come, First-Served Beverage) and Prize 2 (Trip to Japan Sweepstakes) are strictly tied to specific, localized physical event zones in London and Berlin.
Weekend 1 Activation Window: From Saturday, 1st August 2026 at 10:00 AM local time until Sunday, 2nd August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time.
Weekend 2 Activation Window: From Saturday, 8th August 2026 at 10:00 AM local time until Sunday, 9th August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time.
Important Operational Deadlines for Localized Tiers:
Prize 1 Redemption Hours: In-person beverage claims can only be made between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM local time on the active days specified above (01, 02, 08, and 09 August 2026) at the designated physical booths.
Prize 2 In-Game Tracking & Social Submission Window: To qualify for the Trip to Japan Sweepstakes, the Stage 2 research task must be successfully unlocked in-game within the geographic boundary zones during one of the two weekend windows above. Once unlocked, participants have until Monday, 31st August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time to fully complete the in-game tasks and upload their photo entry to Instagram.
B) Nationwide Digital Event Window (Prize 3 Only)
Applicable exclusively to the Prize 3 Sweepstakes (Trip to Pokémon GO Fest 2027). This tier operates entirely digitally and does not require physical presence at the London or Berlin event locations.
In-Game Task Acquisition Window: The Nationwide Timed Research task can be accessed and unlocked anywhere within the United Kingdom and Germany starting Saturday, 1st August 2026 at 10:00 AM local time through Sunday, 9th August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time.
Task Completion & Social Submission Window: Once successfully unlocked, participants have until Monday, 31st August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time to fully complete the nationwide in-game tasks and upload their entry to Instagram.
The Promotion officially closes for all entries across all tiers on August 31st, 2026 at 11:59 PM local time.
5. SPECIFIC CALL-TO-ACTION AND PRIZE MECHANICS
A) PRIZE 1: First-Come, First-Served Reward (Beverage)
The Call-to-Action: Participants must fully complete Stage 1 of the designated "Summer Quest Timed Research Task" within the Pokémon GO app. Please note: The Stage 1 Summer Quest Timed Research task can only be accessed, unlocked, and completed by physically being present at the designated physical event locations outlined below. The tasks will not populate in-game outside of these strict geographic boundary zones.

DESIGNATED PHYSICAL EVENT LOCATION (PLAY AREA) - BERLIN
Operational Availability: Stage 1 tasks are strictly unavailable during weekdays and can only be accessed/completed during weekend hours. To claim the reward, the Participant must present a live screen or clear screenshot documenting completion of Stage 1 to a staff member at a designated physical redemption booth during operational hours (10:00 AM to 07:00 PM local time) on the following activation weekends: August 1st–2nd, 2026 or August 8th–9th, 2026.
Designated Locations (Managed by We Are Collider Ltd):
UK: The Booth on the Green, Boxpark Shoreditch, London.
Germany: The Booth at R.A.W. Gelände, Berlin.
The Reward: One (1) beverage, from our selection.
Inventory Limit & Distribution Rights: A maximum allocation of 2,000 rewards is available per day, per location. Rewards are subject to daily availability and will be distributed strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the daily cap of 2,000 rewards per location is reached, no further rewards will be distributed for that day.
B) PRIZE 2: Random Draw Sweepstakes (Trip to Japan)
The Call-to-Action: Participants must successfully unlock and complete Stage 2 of the designated "Summer Quest Timed Research Task" within the Pokémon GO app.
Activation & Unlocking Windows: To participate, the Stage 2 research task must be successfully unlocked/started in-game strictly during the specific physical event weekend windows in designated operational areas:
Weekend 1: Saturday, 1st August 2026 (from 10:00 AM local time) through Sunday, 2nd August 2026 (until 11:59 PM local time).
Weekend 2: Saturday, 8th August 2026 (from 10:00 AM local time) through Sunday, 9th August 2026 (until 11:59 PM local time).
In-Game Completion Window: Once the Stage 2 task is unlocked during the windows above, participants have until Monday, 31st August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time to fully complete the required in-game tracking goals.
Social Media Submission Deadline: After completing the in-game task, participants must use the official in-game camera feature titled "What's your favorite?" to capture a photo, download it, and publicly share that photo on their personal Instagram feed using the hashtag #PokemonGOSummerQuest. Social media posts must be published no later than Monday, 31st August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time to constitute a valid entry.
Critical Privacy Setting: Participant Instagram accounts must be set to 'Public' at the time of entry and must remain public until at least October 15th, 2026, to allow the Administrator to view, log, and verify the entry hashtag. Submissions from private accounts cannot be detected by our tracking software and will be deemed invalid.
Winner Selection: Following the conclusion of the Promotion Period, winners will be selected via a computer-regulated random drawing from all eligible entries. To ensure fair geographic distribution, two (2) main winners will be selected in total: One (1) winner from all eligible entries originating in the UK, and One (1) winner from all eligible entries originating in Germany.
The Prize: Economy class return flights for the winner and one (1) accompanying guest from a major UK or German airport to Tokyo, Japan, and five (5) nights' accommodation in Tokyo in a standard hotel room (with a minimum 3-star rating, selected by the Administrator).
Travel Conditions & Blackout Dates: Trip must be booked by December 31st, 2026 and taken by July 31st, 2027. Ground transfers, spending money, and meals are excluded. Travel is strictly unavailable during the following blackout periods:
December 18, 2026 – January 5, 2027 (Christmas and New Year Period)
March 20, 2027 – April 15, 2027 (Japanese Cherry Blossom Peak Season)
March 25, 2027 – April 5, 2027 (Easter Holiday Period)
C) PRIZE 3: Random Draw Sweepstakes (Trip to Pokémon GO Fest 2027)
The Call-to-Action: Participants must successfully unlock, track, and complete the Nationwide Timed Research task within the Pokémon GO app during the windows defined in Section 4B.
Social Submission: After completing the Nationwide Timed Research, participants must use the official in-game camera feature titled “What’s your favorite?” to capture a photo, download it, and publicly share that photo on their personal Instagram feed using the hashtag #PokemonGOSummerQuest no later than Monday, 31st August 2026 at 11:59 PM local time.
Critical Privacy Setting: Participant Instagram accounts must be set to 'Public' at the time of entry and must remain public until at least October 15th, 2026, to allow the Administrator to view, log, and verify the entry hashtag. Submissions from private accounts cannot be detected by our tracking software and will be deemed invalid.

The Prize: Economy class return flights for the winner and one (1) guest from a major UK or German airport to the unannounced host city of Pokémon GO Fest 2027, three (3) nights' accommodation in a standard hotel room (with a minimum 3-star rating, selected by the Administrator), and two (2) tickets to Pokémon GO Fest 2027. Ground transfers and spending money are excluded.
D) Ticket Compliance & Participant Code of Conduct
Admission to physical venues, stadium zones, and events associated with Prize 3 is strictly subject to the official ticketing terms, conditions, and user codes of conduct set forth by the Event Organizers (Niantic/TPCI). The Sponsor and Co-Sponsors reserve the absolute right to remove a winner and/or their guest from any flight, hotel, or event venue—or revoke the prize entirely—if they engage in disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful behavior, violate venue rules, or bring the Promotion Entities into disrepute. Tickets are non-transferable, commercial sale is strictly prohibited, and any resale attempt results in instant termination of the prize.
6. PARTICIPANT CONTENT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
For entry mechanisms involving posting content ("Participant Content"):
Participant Content must NOT contain any material that infringes or violates any right of a third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights, other than those belonging to the Sponsor or Promotion Entities.
By entering, Participants grant the Sponsor and Co-Sponsors a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to edit, composite, alter, and display the Participant Content for promotional purposes across their official channels.
7. WINNER SELECTION, DIRECT MESSAGING, AND CLAIM REQUIREMENTS
Verification Process: All potential winners drawn randomly via social media software are subject to backend database verification by the Sponsor (Niantic, Inc.) to confirm structural, verifiable compliance with the designated in-game tasks (Stage 1/Stage 2 Timed Research or The Nationwide Timed Research task, corresponding to the targeted prize tier).
The Backup Pool: To safeguard prize distribution, nineteen (19) alternative backup winners will be drawn at random per prize, per country (76 backup entries total). If a potential main winner is found via game-data logs to have not completed the required research tasks during the required operational availability windows, they will be disqualified, and the backup pool will be verified sequentially.
Winner Notification Timeline: Verified potential winners will be contacted via a Private Message / Direct Message (DM) on the platform used for entry (Instagram) by We Are Collider Ltd on behalf of the Sponsor between September 15th, 2026, and September 30th, 2026.
14-Day Response Rule & Contact Failure Safeguard: Once a Direct Message has been successfully sent to the potential winner, that individual has exactly fourteen (14) calendar days from the timestamp of that successful delivery to respond, accept the prize, and provide all requested validation details (including proof of identity, age, and residency).
If a potential winner fails to reply within this 14-day window, or if they fail the age/residency validation check, their entry will be deemed void and their prize will be permanently forfeited. We Are Collider Ltd will then contact the next pre-verified backup winner from the corresponding pool.
A) Travel Logistics & Joint Forfeiture Rules
Guest Policy: The chosen traveling companion (guest) must be 18 years of age or older (unless the winner is the parent or legal guardian of the minor guest) and must travel on the exact same itinerary, flights, and dates as the verified winner.
Joint Forfeiture: Should the winner forfeit, change, or cancel the prize package for any reason, the prize will be deemed fully forfeited by both the winner and their guest; a guest cannot claim any portion of a prize independently.
Travel Insurance: The Administrator (We Are Collider Ltd) will provide standard, single-trip travel insurance for the winner and their guest as part of the prize package. This policy will cover standard medical emergencies and trip cancellations up to the insurer's standard limits. Crucial Exception: It is the sole responsibility of the winner and guest to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to the insurer. Any additional premium costs, surcharges, or policy loadings resulting from pre-existing medical conditions, advanced age limits, or requests for specialized extensions (e.g., extreme sports coverage) are the sole financial responsibility of the winner and guest, and must be paid directly to the insurer by them.
Flight Restrictions: All flights are at the discretion of the administrator. Travel does not qualify for airline frequent flyer miles, upgrades, or loyalty program points. All domestic travel, regional connections, airport parking, or local transfers to/from the designated major UK or German international departure airport are the sole financial responsibility of the winner and guest. Winners and guests are solely responsible for securing valid passports (minimum 6 months validity) and any required travel visas. There is no cash alternative or financial incentive offered in lieu of any prize.
8. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
For the purposes of GDPR and UK Data Protection laws, personal data is collected directly by the Sponsor (Niantic, Inc.) as the primary Data Controller, and processed by its operational agency (We Are Collider Ltd) for the sole purpose of executing this Promotion and arranging prize delivery. Data is handled securely and will not be sold to third parties.

9. REGULATORY TRANSPARENCY (UK COMPLIANCE)
For UK Residents: To comply with the UK CAP Code, the Sponsor, via its UK administrator, will make available the surname and county of major prize winners (Prizes 2 & 3) to anyone who requests it by writing to the Administrator within 3 months of the Promotion closing. Participants may object to this info being made available, or request to reduce the data shared, at the time of claiming the prize. The Sponsor must still provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) if legally required.
For German Residents: In accordance with GDPR and German data protection laws, winners' personal data will be processed strictly for prize notification and logistics. Winners' surnames and locations will not be disclosed to third-party public inquiries without explicit prior consent.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & GOVERNING LAW
The Sponsor, Promoter, Administrator and Promotion Entities are not responsible for technical, network, software, or server failures that prevent an entry from being received or logged within the application or social media platforms.
A) Force Majeure & Tax Disclaimers
Force Majeure: The Sponsor, Promoter, Administrator and Co-Sponsors accept no liability and will provide no cash compensation or alternate arrangements for any changes, cancellations, delays, or rescheduling of flights, hotels, or event dates caused by third-party providers, weather, labor strikes, global health emergencies, or any other acts of Force Majeure.
Tax Liability: Any local, national, regional, or income tax obligations, financial declarations, or customs duties arising from the receipt or acceptance of high-value prizes are the sole and absolute legal responsibility of the prize winner. (Please note: For entries originating in Germany, sweepstakes and raffle prize winnings are typically exempt from German income tax (Einkommensteuer), though independent local reporting rules may apply depending on individual financial circumstances).
B) Jurisdiction
Governing Law:
For entries originating in the UK: Governed by English law under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
For entries originating in Germany: Governed by German law. Mandatory statutory consumer rights under German law (UWG) remain completely unaffected.
11. REGULATORY TRANSPARENCY & GERMAN COMPLIANCE)
No Purchase Dependency (Kopplungsverbot): In accordance with the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG), participation in this Sweepstakes is entirely free and is not conditioned upon, or tied to, any commercial transaction, purchase of in-game items, or paid services within the Pokémon GO app.
Right of Revocation (Widerrufsrecht): Participants residing in Germany have the right to revoke their consent to the collection, processing, and storage of their personal data at any time by contacting the Data Controller. Upon revocation, the participant's data will be immediately deleted, which will result in withdrawal from active participation in the promotion.
Equal Odds & Execution: The random drawing for German residents will be conducted purely by a computer-regulated randomizer to ensure equal opportunity and absolute transparency, completely free from arbitrary selection.
