Pokémon GO City Safari is coming to Sydney, Australia, on December 13 and 14, 2025! Set off on a citywide adventure as you discover the vibrant stories, new friends, and exciting Pokémon waiting for you in Sydney!
Whether you’re a resident of the host city or a first-time visitor, your Pokémon GO City Safari will take you across the city in an all-new way—from historic landmarks to local favorites, get ready for a taste of the city with Pokémon GO by your side!

Evolve your experience—upgrade with special ticket add-ons!
Trainers can either purchase a ticket for one day of the two-day event or a one-day ticket with an additional second day add-on. One-day tickets are AU$19 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, including any applicable taxes and fees) and are available for purchase on the Pokémon GO City Safari website. You will see “Tickets Available” next to the Pokémon GO City Safari event ticket if it hasn’t sold out yet. Event gameplay will be available only for the date, time, and location specified on your ticket.
Note: Tickets to this event are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets are first come, first served and are available for purchase while supplies last.

Find a whole city of adventure waiting for you when you embark on a Pokémon GO City Safari! Encounter event-themed wild Pokémon throughout the city, complete City Safari–exclusive Special Research, and explore the rich culture in and around the host city!
There’s no right or wrong way to enjoy a City Safari! This format allows Trainers to enjoy the citywide experiences at their own pace, catching Pokémon and making friends with other Trainers along the way.
All event gameplay is exclusive to ticket holders.
Help Professor Willow research Pokémon across the host city!
Ticket-holding Trainers can gear up to assist Professor Willow and Eevee in learning more about the Pokémon appearing during the event. And Eevee seems ready for a big adventure—Trainers will encounter Eevee wearing an explorer hat* at the beginning of the City Safari Special Research!
We encourage Trainers to explore the city with their new Eevee as a buddy. This event-exclusive Pokémon can be evolved into any of Eevee’s known Evolutions, so Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, or Sylveon wearing an explorer hat can join the fun!
Special Pokémon will appear in the wild!
Special Pokémon will appear across the host city during the event! Plus, you’ll be able to encounter Mudbray, the Donkey Pokémon! Mudbray will currently only appear during Pokémon GO City Safari 2025 events, but it may appear worldwide at a later date.
The following Pokémon will hatch from Eggs during the event!
Tip: You can upgrade your ticket with the Egg-thusiast add-on to unlock a 1/2 Hatch Distance bonus during the event! Ticket add-ons are active for both the Saturday and Sunday of Pokémon GO City Safari.

How do Pokémon GO Stamp Rallies work?
GO Stamp Rallies work just like real-world stamp rallies. Explore iconic locations and landmarks throughout the city and collect in-game stamps to complete your stamp rally.
1. Starting the Stamp Rally
The City Safari stamp rally is activated upon entering the citywide gameplay area of a City Safari host city.
To start the stamp rally, simply approach a PokéStop that’s part of the City Safari stamp rally to receive a stamp sheet. A stamp rally button will appear on the map, allowing you to start stamping!
All PokéStops that are part of the City Safari stamp rally will be featured and highlighted on Campfire and a dedicated map.

2. Collecting Stamps
Once your stamp rally has started, an orange stamp icon will appear above participating PokéStops. Visit these PokéStops and spin their Photo Discs to add stamps to your stamp sheet.
The way you press the stamps is similar to real stamps. The ink density changes depending on how long you press. Stamps will also display the PokéStop’s name and date. Stamps’ appearance will vary depending on how you press, and you cannot re-press a stamp.
3. Finishing a Stamp Rally and Collecting Rewards
You can collect up to eight stamps as part of this stamp rally. For each stamp, you’ll get an encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer hat.*
The City Safari stamp rally can only be completed once daily during the event hours.
*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

Ticket Holder Bonuses
Ticket-holding Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on their ticketed day, anywhere in the host city!

Sydney’s City Safari will feature a Pokémon GO Stamp Rally across the following landmarks and iconic locations.

PIKACHU SUN VISOR DISTRIBUTION
-Wear a Pikachu sun visor to add some fun to your journey exploring Sydney. Besides the sun visors, there are even more little gifts waiting for you!

*There will be a limited number distributed at the location. Visors will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

More exciting activities on-site
-Enjoy taking part in two special on-site photo booths. You can even claim exciting in-game rewards for participating.
-There will also be a specific trading area where you can meet other Trainers and trade Pokémon. Don’t forget to collect your trading fan from one of the friendly staff members. You can use this to show other Trainers which Pokémon you are willing to trade and which Pokémon you are looking for.
Evolve Your Gameplay with Ticket Add-ons
In addition to our live events, we’re offering Trainers the ability to enhance their event experience with optional add-ons. Ticket add-ons are active for both days of Pokémon GO City Safari (Saturday and Sunday). Trainers that have purchased add-ons will experience their respective bonuses on both days even if they do not purchase an additional Citywide Gameplay day.

Can I participate in Pokémon GO City Safari: Sydney from anywhere if I have a live event ticket?
In order to enjoy the event gameplay of Pokémon GO City Safari: Sydney, you must be physically present in Sydney.
How do I start playing after arriving in Sydney?
Simply open Pokémon GO in Sydney on the date and time stated on your event ticket. Trainers who do not have a ticket will not have access to the event-exclusive content even if they are physically present in Sydney.
