GO Battle League: Twilight Trails Update

Trainers,

GO Battle League: Twilight Trails is almost here!

GO Battle League: Twilight Trails

GO Battle League: Twilight Trails will start on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).

The following will occur at the beginning of the Season.

  • End-of-Season rewards will be available on the Battle screen.
  • Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.

Mega Evolution is expanding in the GO Battle League!

Following the sudden appearance of Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, and Mega Greninja in San Francisco, Mega-Evolved Pokémon are joining the battle in the GO Battle League! This change will start with Pokémon GO: Twilight Trails and continue in future Seasons.

Beginning with Pokémon GO Fest: Mega Finale, certain eligible Mega-Evolved Pokémon will have access to an additional Charged Attack no matter what Mega Level they are, bringing exciting new strategies to the GO Battle League. Learn more about additional Charged Attacks and featured Mega-Evolved Pokémon during the Mega Finale here.

Also, for the first time in the Pokémon GO Championship Series, Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be eligible during the 2026 Pokémon Latin America International Championships!

In the near future, the CP of Mega-Evolved Pokémon will automatically be reduced temporarily so that they can participate in the Great League: Mega Edition and Ultra League: Mega Edition. CP will only be reduced for the duration of the battle and will return to the original CP after completion of the battle.
