Trainers,
As part of our cooperation with local authorities, and in response to several overlapping events in the area, Pokémon GO gameplay has been temporarily suspended for the remainder of Saturday east of South Michigan Ave, from south of Grant Park to slightly south of East Cermak Rd. This includes gameplay at the Field Museum, including the Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition. Additionally, the real-world GO Fest pop-up at the Field Museum has been suspended for Saturday, June 6. All Pokémon GO Fest gameplay and experiences at Grant Park are not impacted, and all remaining park sessions will continue uninterrupted at this time.
All other citywide gameplay throughout Chicago will also continue as scheduled. As originally planned, Trainers with park tickets for Saturday, June 6, have access to citywide gameplay during event hours as part of their ticket. We encourage you to continue your Pokémon GO Fest experience throughout the other gameplay districts in Chicago.
For all ticket-holding Trainers, the City Experience: Chicago Friendship District Timed Research will be automatically completed.
We will also provide all Trainers who play in Chicago on Saturday, June 6, with Timed Research that grants seven encounters with Excavator Pikachu.
Please exercise your best judgement while playing Pokémon GO. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO. Upcoming events are subject to change. Be sure to follow us on social media, opt in to receiving push notifications, and subscribe to our emails to stay updated.
