  • Kyurem may know the Charged Attack Glaciate.

  • Origin Forme Palkia may know the Charged Attack Spacial Rend

  • Origin Forme Dialga may know the Charged Attack Roar of Time.

These Adventure Effects are available through Elite TM for the first time in Pokémon GO!

Get ready, Trainers! Available for a limited time in celebration of Pokémon GO’s 10th Anniversary, Trainers can use an Elite TM to get Spacial Rend or Roar of Time for Origin Forme Palkia and Origin Forme Dialga respectively during Road of Legends through Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.

New Pokémon Backgrounds Debut!

After catching certain Pokémon from Raid Battles, Trainers will have a chance to receive Special Backgrounds! These souvenir backgrounds will appear on a Pokémon’s summary page, similar to the Location Backgrounds that are available exclusively at in-person events.

Learn more about Special Backgrounds here!

Pokémon caught from five-star raids, Primal Raids, and Mega Raid Battles between July 6 and July 12, may also have a Special Background.

Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Raids during GO Fest: Global may have a Special Background. If that Mewtwo with a Special Background is Mega Evolved, its Mega Evolution’s background will have an additional visual effect.

Learn more about Mewtwo’s Mega Evolutions here.

Super Mega Raids During Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global

Did you forget? We didn’t think so! Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y will be featured in Super Mega Raids during Pokémon GO Fest: Global!

As a reminder, there will be a special bonus debuting during the global Pokémon GO Fest event: Every Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Raids will have at least one Mega Level already unlocked, and it can be Mega Evolved without the initial energy cost!* Catch up on the news here.

And there’s more! Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Raids will also be more likely to have high Attack, Defense, and HP.

Super Mega Raids are a type of Mega Raid in Pokémon GO where you band together with fellow Trainers to take on exceptionally powerful Mega-Evolved Pokémon. These difficult battles are best taken on with several other Trainers who all have at least one Mega-Evolved Pokémon in their battle party.

While these battles may be tough, successfully defeating them with your fellow Trainers will yield substantially more rewards than standard Mega Raids, including more Mega Energy!

Learn more about and prepare for Super Mega Raids here.

Super Mega Raids require major teamwork, and may only appear at certain Gyms! Use http://pokemongo.com/map or Campfire to find upcoming and active Super Mega Raids near you, and filter for community meetups to plan more seamlessly.
