In this next chapter of Pokémon GO Wild Area, get ready to test your skills once again as you encounter Dark- and Fairy-type Pokémon, including Grimmsnarl, the Bulk Up Pokémon! Plus, exceptionally powerful Pokémon known as mighty Pokémon are appearing in the wild—use GO Wild Area–exclusive GO Safari Balls to improve your odds of catching these rare Pokémon.
All event gameplay is exclusive to ticket holders.
They’re at it again! Team GO Rocket is venturing into the GO Wild Area this year, and they’ve brought Shadow Darkrai with them for the first time in Pokémon GO!
Shadow Darkrai and Shadow Cresselia will appear in Shadow Raids during event days. Plus, you can encounter Shiny Shadow Darkrai and Shiny Shadow Cresselia—if you’re lucky!
Fortunate Trainers might just encounter Shiny Unown W, Shiny Hatenna, and Shiny Impidimp for the first time during Pokémon GO Wild Area: Nagasaki!
The following Pokémon will appear in Shadow Raids!
Gyms not under Team GO Rocket control may still host other raids.
Event-themed Pokémon will appear in the wild!
For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Hatenna and Shiny Impidimp in the wild—if you’re lucky!
These event-themed Pokémon will appear throughout the city of Nagasaki during your ticketed event day in two rotating hours. Lurking Dark Hour will run first, followed by Fanciful Fairy Hour.
Mighty Pokémon may appear in the wild!
Trainers may also find themselves in encounters with unusually powerful opponents known as mighty Pokémon! All mighty Pokémon have some shared traits.

More difficult to capture
Trainers may even encounter Shiny mighty Pokémon, if they’re lucky! Using the event-exclusive GO Safari Ball when trying to capture these Pokémon will greatly improve your chance of success.
These mighty Pokémon can appear during all hours, regardless of their type. Mighty Pokémon are mighty rare, so make sure you have your GO Safari Balls ready—you never know when one might appear!
The following Pokémon will hatch from Eggs during the event!
Incense Encounters
The following Pokémon will be attracted to Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) during the event. Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, ticket-holding Trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Unown W from Incense—if they’re lucky!
During your ticketed event day, two unique Timed Research experiences will be available! Special Dark- and Fairy-type themed PokéStops will appear across the city. Spin the corresponding PokéStops to progress in each research. What sights will you see in Nagasaki during this citywide challenge?
Want a second (or third!) chance to complete these? Trainers who purchase an Extra Day Add-on will get both the Dark- and Fairy-type Timed Research opportunities again on any added days!
Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before 8:00 p.m. local time on the day of your ticket or Extra Day Add-on.
Trainers will have a boosted chance of receiving event-themed Field Research during the event! You can encounter event-themed Pokémon when you complete Field Research tasks.
All attendees will receive the following bonuses and rewards anywhere in Nagasaki during event hours on their ticketed day!

Ticket-holding Trainers will also receive the following bonuses and rewards between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m local time on event days!
*Ticket-holding Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon. Shiny Pokémon are not guaranteed by purchasing a ticket.
**For this bonus to apply, Trainers must first collect all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu. Trainers can collect Max Particles via the Nearby menu each day by exploring. Adventure Sync can help make sure your distance counts! Keep an eye on the Nearby menu for the icon that shows when Max Particles are ready to collect.
Trainers who explore Routes during Pokémon GO Wild Area: Nagasaki will encounter Pokémon more frequently and earn additional Buddy Candy!
