It’s time for another exhilarating Pokémon GO Wild Area, Trainers! Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon are taking the spotlight this year, so get ready to test your mettle against Pokémon like Dynamax Dialga, Dynamax Palkia, and more! Plus, exceptionally powerful Pokémon known as mighty Pokémon are appearing in the wild once again—use GO Wild Area–exclusive GO Safari Balls to improve your odds of catching these rare Pokémon.

All event gameplay is exclusive to ticket holders.

What’s New
Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia are appearing in Max Battles!

Make some time—and space—for these Dynamax debuts! This year’s GO Wild Area event will feature Dynamax Dialga* and Dynamax Palkia* for the first time in Pokémon GO!

Jackets? For GO Wild Area? Groundbreaking.

Look at the drip on Machamp! Machamp wearing a modern jacket* will appear in three-star raids during the event.

Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra make their gooey debuts!

Hisuian Sliggoo* and Hisuian Goodra** will make their Pokémon GO debuts during this year’s in-person GO Wild Area events! Ticket-holding Trainers at the real-world events will be able to encounter Hisuian Sliggoo in the wild—if they’re lucky!

*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

**You can use 100 Goomy Candy to evolve Hisuian Sliggoo into Hisuian Goodra.

Two mighty friends take to the skies!

For ticket-holding Trainers, mighty Latias* and Latios* will be attracted to Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) on your ticketed event day! Keep your eyes peeled and your GO Safari Balls at the ready, Trainers, as sources say this duo will be quick to flee!

Tip: For even more Raid Passes, you can purchase the Battle Ready add-on to increase the total number of daily Raid Passes you can earn during the event to 18 per day! Ticket add-ons will be active from Friday, November 6, at 12:00 a.m. local time to Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time.

For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Hisuian Sliggoo in the wild—if you’re lucky!

These event-themed Pokémon will appear throughout the host location during your ticketed event day in two rotating hours. Solid as Steel Hour will run first, followed by Daring as Dragons Hour.

Mighty Pokémon may appear in the wild!

Trainers may also find themselves in encounters with unusually powerful opponents known as mighty Pokémon! All mighty Pokémon have some shared traits.

  • More likely to have high Attack, Defense, and HP ratings

  • More likely to be XL or XXL

  • More difficult to capture

Trainers may even encounter Shiny mighty Pokémon, if they’re lucky! Using the event-exclusive GO Safari Ball when trying to capture these Pokémon will greatly improve your chance of success.

These mighty Pokémon can appear during all hours, regardless of their type. Mighty Pokémon are mighty rare, so make sure you have your GO Safari Balls ready—you never know when one might appear!

Look forward to encountering mighty Machamp wearing a modern jacket, Bastiodon, and Kommo-o! Plus, as the official Support Pokémon of Miyagi Prefecture, ticket-holding Trainers in Sendai can even encounter mighty Lapras!

Special Research

Ticket-holding Trainers can claim an exclusive Special Research story during their ticketed session! In this research, you’ll become an expert on Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon to earn two type-themed in-game medals.

Ticket holding Trainers can also purchase a ticket for Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global to get access to the global Special Research the following weekend.

Explore the city through a new GO Stamp Rally!

A new citywide GO Stamp Rally will be available to ticket-holding Trainers during the event! In this stamp rally, you’ll traverse the city to discover iconic landmarks, hidden gems, and even some Pokémon GO surprises. Collect stamps at in-game PokéStops to advance your adventure and encounter event-themed Pokémon!

This event stamp rally will be active from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time on your main ticketed event day. You will not receive additional stamp rallies with the Extra Day gameplay add-on.

Not sure where to start on your Stamp Rally? Just follow the PokéStops!

During your ticketed event day, two unique Timed Research experiences will be available! Special decorated PokéStops will appear across the city. Spin the corresponding PokéStops to progress in each research. What sights will you see during this citywide challenge?

These special PokéStops can also help guide you between stamps in the event Stamp Rally, so if you’re in a pinch, start spinning!

Want a second (or third!) chance to complete these experiences? Trainers who purchase an Extra Day Add-on will get both the Steel- and Dragon-type Timed Research opportunities again on any added days!

Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before 8:00 p.m. local time on the day of your ticket or Extra Day Add-on.

Field Research

All Trainers will have a boosted chance of receiving event-themed Field Research during the event! You can encounter event-themed Pokémon when you complete Field Research tasks.

Bonuses and Features
Exclusive in-game bonuses for ticket holders!

All attendees will receive the following bonuses and rewards anywhere in the city during event hours on their ticketed day!

Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon
1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event
Up to 10 daily Raid Passes per day from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
3/4 Max Particle cost for unlocking and powering up Max Moves
Daily Max Particle collection limit increased to 8,000
Increased Max Particles from Power Spots and exploration**
Increased chance of 10 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops and Gyms
Lure Modules will last for two hours
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for two hours
2× Candy for catching Pokémon
Party Play will be active for eight hours
Chance to encounter mighty Pokémon on Routes
Three GO Snapshot surprise event encounters per day—when taking snapshots during the event, certain Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon may appear!
Chance to get GO Safari Balls from spinning PokéStops and Photo Discs at Gyms.

Ticket-holding Trainers will also receive the following bonuses and rewards between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m local time on event days!

Up to 6 Special Trades can be made during your ticketed event day

*Ticket-holding Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon. Shiny Pokémon are not guaranteed by purchasing a ticket.

**For this bonus to apply, Trainers must first collect all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu. Trainers can collect Max Particles via the Nearby menu each day by exploring. Adventure Sync can help make sure your distance counts! Keep an eye on the Nearby menu for the icon that shows when Max Particles are ready to collect.

GO Safari Balls are back!

GO Safari Balls are highly effective Poké Balls that make catching Pokémon, especially mighty Pokémon, much easier. Ticket-holding Trainers will have a chance to get GO Safari Balls from spinning PokéStops and Photo Discs at Gyms during event hours.

GO Safari Balls can only be used between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m local time on event days. After the event concludes, GO Safari Balls will no longer be accessible from your inventory.

Keep an eye out for GO Wild Area Supply Balloons!

In a mighty pinch? Look to the skies! A Supply Balloon giving GO Safari Balls will appear hourly during event hours for ticket-holding Trainers!
